Is anyone cycling up to Lakeside on Saturday morning for the Mob Match?
If not, could anyone give me and my bike a lift home?! |

Lee,
There are a couple/few of us cycling up. Plan still being formulated but I think we are going to leave from Zena's/Rawreth Lane at 6.45am. You up for that?
I'm in for the Essex 100 mate too Need to be back by 2pm though on pain of death.
Me and Steve P are aiming to be at the start at 7am - you aiming for the same? If so, we going to get a EETC peleton going!?

I shall join you in the morning then. You will have to text me Zena's address though...
I think I am going to have to drop out of Sunday - I haven't done enough training (2 x bike rides in the last three months) and since I am doing lots of events over the coming weeks, Mrs R is losing her sense of humour.
Sorry to be a let down after it was my idea.... |

Okay mate, no worries - will text you.
Might be easier if we met at Rawreth lane lights (the ones at Downhall Park Way, before the Asda lights) at 6.45am - particularly as Zena hasn't confirmed she can make it yet!?
Anyone else who fancies it is very welcome to meet there too.
Shame about Sunday - I was looking forward to that 4-5 mph - I am reasonably comfortable at that sort of pace |

Sorry Guys - bit of a light weight with the cycling today!!! (Had wanted to ride there - honest!)
Still at least I had the car to give Lee a lift home!
Any way well done to all those who turned up and braved the shockingly cold water.
It was great to see some of older members there (that is - been with the club for a while - not that they are old!!!) and racing, as well as some of our newer members who had to fight their nerves to be there.
Well done Joe and Taz for leading us home and to Chris Mowle coming in 2nd lady.
Unfortunately Richard lost out on a few places due to poor marking on the run course, as did Matt P and a few other eetc boys and girls. (a TSE trick? - No, I am sure they wouldn't resort to those levels just to win - would they?)
It was great to see such a large turnout - a shame we didn't win but we will reagin that trophy next year!!!!!!!!!!!!
