Well its mine and Richards turn, once again.....
Listed is the planned route for sunday, although I intend to change the last section and head of through to East Hanningfield as opposed to using the Cold Norton- South Woodham detailed on the route...
For those who did the Burnham Route the other week, you will reconise the change, and Niggle will remember the pub where he got his last puncture..... Estimate about 45-50 miles and groups wishing to cut this short can breakaway at Danbury......... and go straight to East Hanningfield. 25 - 30 miles
see you at 7.30...... http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=1389350

Sorry, chaps. Had to stop outside Mundon as I had a noise from the front wheel. You lot had gone off and I had a choice of turning right to Cold Norton or straight on to the Lower Burnham road. Needless to say I chose wrong If I had looked at the route beforehand I would have known (but needless to say I didn't) and if I could find my phone this morning I could have called; if it is going to go wrong, it will.
Apologies if I caused a fuss - especially you John!!
Great ride though, really enjoyed it.

| Yeh, a great ride today and thanks to Kevin for doing most of, if not all of the work. That was a hard ride! Having lost touch with the group whilst being a bit cautious crossing the Burnham road, I then got a puncture just as we joined the old South Woodham road near the butterfly farm. I tried shouting but nobody heard. Fortunately Andrew hung around to keep me company whilst changing the flat. What average speed to you guys have as my speedo was playing up? |

Had an eventfull ride on Sunday...
Jan needs to get her bike cleaned, and 'checked ou't at Richardsons before the next ride.... Gears and rear stays....
Ian needs to think about using a smaller saddle bag, rather than a suitcase..... a lot easier to place in your pocket when they break....
As a group we need to be responsible for all riders around us, making sure that we know where everyone is..... if you want the race leader to head of at the front to assist with the wind, then make sure we have everyone at every junction.
After travelling back to the last 'stop point' looking for Chas and checking all the ditches on my own, it turns out he had stopped to sort out his front wheel and none of us noticed.... he then decides to find his own route home unable to answer any of our calls, because he didnt have his phone...
I think the route worked, but should have split into three as oppossed to two...... but always difficult if we dont know the route.....
