Well done to all those who turned up in the appalling weather for the first cross country of the season. It was great to see so many EET vests running up and over teletubby hill - and we beat Tri Sport, I mean Fords!.
It was also great to see so many new faces amongst the regulars (although some of them looked a little pale through lack of sleep!!) - I hope they enjoyed the post race refreshments.
Get well soon to our two athletes who suffered injuries on Sunday - hopefully you will soon be fit again.
Thanks also to all those who were soaked standing on the course cheering us on.
Well done to you all again - I know for some of you it was quite a difficult weekend to fit a race in. Thank you.
Heres to the next one!

Yes all we 're looking for this year is to beat Ford Fitness every week so we'll need as bigger team as possible. Unfortunately that doesn't include the under 17s. All clubs were reminded about the under 17 rule after Sunday and although I made some representations for them I was pointed to national rule "509" which states under 17s can't compete in cross countries exceeding 7k in length. This does make it an insurance matter so we can't get it turned over. Kids can still run on public land but, please don't wear East Essex kit. _________________ Richard |
