| My number is 4163. I managed 3.05 last year so any improvement on that would be a result, however marathons are very unpredictable especially when the temperature is going to be close to 20 degrees. Rather bizarrely my left knee started to ache this morning for no apparent reason. I will run for half an hour on the treadmill tomorrow morning so hopefully it will be OK. Good luck and try to enjoy it????? |

I'm aiming for a 3:45, but we'll see how it goes...
How about you? |

Ian,
Spookily parallel posts. I know how you mean, this morning I had pains in my left hamstring, right ankle and right achilles, all of these convinced me that I won't even finish!!
But then, that's the taper for you!

phew - don't feel so bad about the ache I have in my right leg which keeps moving from my calf to my hamstring and back again.
Hoping for 4 hours ish - but worried about the heat. |

| ...and then I woke up this morning with an extremely painful stiff neck! I should be fine for Sunday but won't be able to look either side of me at the crowds! |

| This is getting serious - not feeling too good flu like symptons I hope (and pray) that after a good nights sleep I'll feel OK tomorrow and fine for Sunday. I will have to wait and see. By the way don't worry about the weather it is unlikely to go above 20 degrees until later in the day. Remember pain is only a weakness leaving the body! Keep telling yourself this when things start to get a bit tough. I hope I make it to the start line! |

| Best of luck Ian - I hope that a good night's kip resolves matters and you get to the start. I'm actually pretty relaxed about the weather - I can't change it! |
