| I was thinking of giving this race a go instead of the Benfleet 15. It is on the 3rd February, 2008. Apparently it is pan flat course and a PB is definitely on the cards. Does anyone else fancy doing this? |

| Yep. I was going to do Watford 1/2 that day, which is hugely hilly, so a flat PB course sounds great! |

| I did this race 10 years ago according to my records, and found it very flat, but very cold when the wind blows. |

I hate road races but did the Watford 1/2 a few years ago - pre tri days and loved it! A few hills but a great course! |

I've done it twice now and it is really nice - I set my PB there last year.
However, I've been tempted by the lure of fast and flat and have already entered the Great Bentley one now!
I hope we get a good East Essex crew up there for it... |

| Anyone interested in car-sharing to get there as the organisers have suggested? |

I hope you all enjoyed the race today? I thought it ws a great course. The only downside was the wind and the last 500 metres on the grass.
Sorry to hear about your injuy Lee. Probably a good idea that you pulled out as you don't want to jeopdise your performace at the FLM. We don't want to miss the costume do we!!!!!!!!!! |

Well done all who completed and many congrats to Steve on a very impressive 1:38 (what were the other times).
If Lee doesn't recover for FLM then I suggest we put him in a pram and push him round _________________ Richard |

| A most generous offer Mr Chairman. My guess is that you'll still have the 'pleasure' of seeing me run it, however! |

The results are now in. Go to http://www.gbrc.org.uk/
I got round in 1.23.45 which is a new PB. Mind you the wind took its toll as my fastest mile was 5.57 and the slowest 6.41.
Well done to Paul, Myles, Steve and Richard. How did your times compare to previous half marathons? I also notice that our fellow IM Austria competitors the Stannetts took part. |

Well done to all today, wind was a bit raw though.
First time for me and i thought it was a well organised event with a good route, pace fell off towards the end though which is purely down to not doing enough. Hopefully will be more whippet like at Brentwood.
I am looking to do the Orion 15 on the 29th March, anybody have any advise?
