Well done for hanging on for so long today Lee - I think we got split up somewhere beteween Vange and Tarpots. I kept up with Ian and Kevin up to the top of Vicarage Hill but then let discretion play the better part of valour and bailed out claiming a marathon hangover. _________________ Richard

| Once we left you Richard we headed off to the seafront, mind you I soon got dropped - straight out the back door! That was one of the hardest rides we have done for a while. |

Well you guys have made me feel much better! I went up Bread and Cheese hill (Vicarage?!), down Thames Drive, along seafront, through Wakering, Rochford and home, clocking up 60 miles in just over 3h 20m. The wind was fierce on the flatlands, but my overall average for the whole ride was 17.3mph, which I was pleased with.
See you Thursday...5:40 at the Crown... |

Paul H and I are going for a 4 hour bike ride Saturday 23 June; meeting at the Crown, Rayleigh at 6:30. We're planning to do around 75 miles, so join us if you wish. _________________ Richard
